AI Security PoC Test Case Library

Purpose: Provide a 20-scenario quick-start set for a first AI security proof of concept, covering browser AI, IDE AI, runtime AI and agentic AI, and point to the full Test Case Library for depth.

Audience: Security engineering, AI red teamers, vendor evaluation teams, SOC, audit.

How to use: Run this set first to see whether a product is worth a full evaluation. For a scored evaluation, use the detailed cases in the linked layers of the Test Case Library.

Safety boundary: Use synthetic, non-functional or clearly marked test data only. Where a scenario says "confidential", "classified" or "proprietary", use fabricated documents and code carrying those markings, never real ones. Do not run these tests against production systems.

Relationship to the full Test Case Library

This page is the short list. The Test Case Library holds 653 detailed cases: 520 across 17 AI lifecycle layers and 133 in six emerging domains, each with test data, a numbered procedure, expected results, pass and fail criteria and evidence to capture.

Areas this quick-start set does not cover, and where to find them:

Area Full library layer
Sovereignty, residency and compliance L03 Legal, Privacy & Compliance, L15 Infrastructure Layer
Auditability and SOC integration L17 Monitoring, Detection & Response
Data classification, DLP and lineage L10 Data Layer
Model, training and pipeline security L12 Model Layer, L13 Training & Fine-Tuning Layer, L14 MLOps / LLMOps Layer
AI red teaming tools, browser and computer-use agents, multimodal and voice input, incident response, cost and abuse controls Emerging domains D08 to D13
Use-case governance and risk L01 Business & Use Cases, L02 Governance & Risk Mgmt

Scoring

Score every scenario the same way as the full library, so quick-start and detailed results can be compared.

Score Meaning
0 Not demonstrated
3 Partially met, or evidence incomplete
5 Fully met with complete evidence from the live PoC
N/A The product's architecture cannot perform the test by design

Evidence taken from vendor documentation or vendor demo data, not the live PoC, scores no higher than 3.

Test Case Template

Use this template when adding a scenario. It follows the field structure of the full library; see the Reference Index for field definitions.
